Get Prepped For Summer Sun!

Summer has finally arrived (first time in a few years for us Brits and we're loving it!) And of course everyone wants to look gorgeous whilst at the beach. But who wants to cake on a full face of make up when your going to the beach?! Well want to know the trick to beauty at the beach, then read on!

After you've cleansed your face, and done all your skincare (make sure you apply lots of moisturiser, you need to keep your skin hydrated throughout the d
ay!), apply a good SPF, I like using children's ones because they are usually have high factor's and they do not contain as many nasty ingredients (for lighter skins your need to be using around factor 30 minimum, darker skins can get away with a lower factor but whatever you feel!)

For a base I would recommend a tinted moisturiser rather then foundation that will melt of your face in the sun.
I use Benefit's tinted moisturiser, you rebel (£21.50ish), this is great tinted moisiturisor and it also contains SPF 15 so if you don't like a lot of sun protection on your face (I know i hate the feel of the grease, and it can make you look a bit ghostly!).

A cheaper alternative would be The Natural Collection's tinted moisturiser (£1.99 bargain or what!?) I have not personally tried this product but I have been reassured by a friend that it is an excellent product.

Apply a bronzer rather then using a face powder and a bronzer, make the bronzer your face powder! My faveorite bronzer is Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in 001 Blonde (£5.49) I've always thought rimmel did great with face powders and this is another sucess! Apply the bronzer on the points of your face wheret the sun would naturally hit using a bronzer brush (if you don't have one try a large powder brush like QVS Compact Powder Brush - £3.99)

For eyes, just go for a bit of light creme shadow on the lids, If your not willing to purchase exspensive ones like MAC or Benefit, I would go for Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadow in Beige, this will stay on much easier then powder which is more likely to sweat off
Use pencil liner rather then liquid or gel as both are liable to sweat off. Then apply a coat of mascara to the lashes, I like Rimmel Sexy Curves for daytime (£7.99)

Apply a little of Maybelline's Dream Mousse Blush, in 01 Dollypink (Around £6.99) on the apples of the cheek and blend upwards using fingers.

Apply a lipgloss of your choice and your ready to... Oh no wait a minute heres some quick extra ideas!

- Keep a mini spray deodorant/body spray in your bag this will keep you from sweating and also help you to smell nice without carrying perfume around
- Throw your sun cream in there too and keep applying it at regular intervals!
- Make sure to keep your sunnies near by, eyes need protection too!
- Take a water bottle with you if there's no food facilities near by to keep you hydrated.

Now your prepped for summer sun
